When Jared's parents were out visiting we made some model rockets. They had sent the rockets out last month and we had only made one, so Jared and his dad (with a little help from the boys) put together a few more. We didn't have any engines so Jared and I took a detour at the end of our date Tuesday to go pick some up. We all woke up early Wednesday morning so we could go launch the rockets. The kids had swim lessons that morning as well, so we had to be done by 9am. We drove to the kids' school, and found the fields were closed for maintainence. So we drove over to the high school and their fields were all surrounded by gates and locked up.
(Bella had to give the baby tree a hug)
So we drove over to the park where there were some soccer fields, and the fields were closed, however they were not gated, so the adults went out to a cement sidewalk area to set up the launch and the kids waited on the steps.
Once everything was set up Jared realized they had forgotten the engines!
(The moment Jared checked the bag and saw the engines were not there)
It was too late to go back and get them. So in order to make it not a complete loss, we stopped by the convieniently located Dunkin' Donuts for a fun treat. It was totally worth it.
